Depends on lots of factors. Whats the weather like? Is the party day or night? Is the ice for drinks only? What type of ice is it (shaved, chunk, high displacement etc).As a rough guide - if its quite warm where you are and its for drinks only I would go with 2 to 3 Lbs per person but make sure that you have somewhere adequate to store it or you will need more ice to cover loss through melting.
