Do caterers buy their food from local stores or big companies?

On the east coast, supplies were bought from a place called Restaurant Food Supply. Others bought from places like Sam's Club and Costco, buying in bulk. Other restaurants bought from their home store warehouse, like commissary food (ie. Taco Bell).Do caterers buy their food from local stores or big companies?
most likely they would buy from a food service distributor..



I am a buyer for a food manufacture and our volume is so high I buy straight from manufactures..



There is a hugh savings when you buy straight from manufactures for instance cheese today the cheese market is $1.27 p/lb.. at the grocery store we are paying double..
