I was thinkng of opening my own catering business and / or small bistro (nothing big) after culinary school. Any suggestions?? Anyone doing this now?

I have always wanted to open something like that - been a dream of mine forever - bakery or catering or even a restaurant. I never went to school, I can just cook real good naturally. It is my talent and runs in the family. I am real good at just throwing things together and making it up as I go.

Where are you located at. The first thing that you will want to do is find out if your area can handle another restaurant. If there are none in your area that is anything like you want to do, then go for it, and give it a try. Make sure that you advertise really well before you open. Explain what you have, what your services will be etc etc

I would reccomend that the first thing you should do is scout your location and then open a catering buisness, lower overhead Good Luck
