Wedding caterers in chicago for under 50$ a plate?

Hi, i live just outside of Chicago and i'm getting married, before i choose a venue i need to find a caterer and my budget is a lil tight. i need the caterer to include set up, service, tables linens chairs and liquor. for about 55-60 per person. i'm doing family style or buffet. Does anyone know of a good caterer for this price range?? That way i'll have about 4 thousand for the venue......if you know of any unique venues i'll take those too. ThanksWedding caterers in chicago for under 50$ a plate?
Check with your local VFW or fire company -- they often have arrangements with less expensive caterers. Sometimes churches or synagogues will have halls that can be used, and they might know someone, too.

Check with a party rental place -- they might know someone who has used their services who can meet your requirements

Try corkyscatering.com. They have venues listed by city and they were recommended on hubpages.com.
I'm not sure about the caterer situation, but I am from St. Charles, IL (West Suburbs) and there is a great place out here for a reception venue called the Hotel Baker. It has a room called the Rainbow Room which features a glass tiled floor with lights underneath and the ceiling opens up very high. It's a beautiful venue and if I ever were getting married out here, I would choose this venue hands-down. We're going to get married in Connecticut though.Congrats!

  1. When my brother got married he had the culinary arts from the university cater and that worked out really well. The food was really good and there was plenty. I noticed a lot of people were talking about the food selection and how it was surprisingly good. http://www.nelsonscatering.com/catering.php
