What do wedding caterers do? Provide?

I want to do a buffet style wedding reception.

Do the caterers provide all the proper equipment and dishes to serve it with?

Do They Provide the Dishes, glasses, and silverware?

Do they put the food out, and clean up afterwards?What do wedding caterers do? Provide?
I am in the process of hiring a caterer. They do not provide everything for the same price. The caterers I found will provide upscale disposable pasticware for the price of the food listed, which various from $6.95 to $11.95 per person. If I want china or glass, it's an extra charge. That charge varies from $4 to $5.50 per person. Also if I choose white foam plates I would get $1 off per person, but who wants that at a wedding. They will provide glass water goblets and coffee cups, but disposable cups for the bar. If i want glass for the bar I have to rent stemware throught them. That can get expensive. The caterer will display the food buffet style, clean up the tables when guest are done, cut/serve the cake, and serve the beverages.



Just be sure to take them a lot of questions and please do a tasting. I called one caterer and he told me that he doesn't do individual tasting. I would have to meet him at a bridal expo..weird huh?
Ask your catering options. Each will have a different set of services they offer.

It depends on the contract you sign but most will do it all for a fee.
You need to call around and ask. Some do, some don't.
