no idea you definitly need to ask your venue
You have to ask that question. In fact, I'd ask about drink (alcohol), and what food do they have included because it sounds like they are going to do everything. They even sometimes have their own contacts as to who will bake the cake, so I'd def ask them!If a reception venue says no to outside caterers, does that include the cake?
Typically yes. Ask them to be sure.
It shouldn't include the cake but it's best to check with the venue itself and they all have different policies about that kind of thing.
Try negotiating if you're not happy with the response you get.
If they do not allow outside vendors, they would not allow an outside bakery. If not made by a bakery, the cake would be made by the caterer.
You would have to ask them for the final answer, but it's probably no. They might make exceptions if a friend or family member is making it for you, but they would probably charge a cake cutting fee.
Good luck!
I just booked my venue last month and we are not aloud to have an outside caterer for the food either. This does not include the cake though. We are aloud to bring our own cake. Just ask, you never know.
It depends on your caterer, but usually it doesn't include the cake. The hall often *cake* coordinate your cake for you and has an in-house bakery, but with something as fancy as a wedding cake you're more than likely allowed to bring in your own.
Typically they are ok with an outside cake, but will charge you a 'cutting fee' which covers the costs of them cutting and serving and providing forks and plates for the cake
That could include the cake if its already offered in the contract. Please talk to them. right down all your questions and be ready before you book.
Good luck
