Well, first write EVERYTHING that happened down, and write down all the people who can say what happened. Read the contract and see exactly what it says.Make a copy of the video and all the pictures that show the food, and how the staff was dressed, how they acted, etc.
Then see what the limit in small claims court is in your state, depending on the damages it might be best to go that way. But I would spend a few dollars and talk to a lawyer to help get your ducks in order. Then sue.
If they provided a bad service then you could ask them for a refund, but if they refuse that then I would say that you can files a lawsuit against them as they provided a bad service which was not like how it was advertised. Can you file a lawsuit against your wedding caterers for ruining your wedding and reception?
in america you "can" sue anyone for anything...
