What's the difference between waitress, caterer, and servant?

A waitress is categorized in a resturant as someone who takes orders and maintains quality levels of service among guests. A caterer is someone an indivdual or company hires to bring food to a specific location. And a servant is someone who serves someone, mainly used in the past as a person an individual buys or hires to work in their house, doing the things they themselves would normally have to do. I don't know if you meant server, since that would fit more with your other words in a food service category and a server is the same thing as a waitress... Just a classier name. :)What's the difference between waitress, caterer, and servant?
Waiter/waitress takes your food order %26amp; serves you your food in a restaurant or diner.

A caterer plans and cooks food for a group of people for special events or functions. They may or may not also handle table decorations, place settings, etc. etc.

A servant does just that - serves the master of the house and runs the household. Errands, laundry, cleaning, etc.
Waitresses work in restaraunts and caterers hire other ppl like florists and bakers to take care of weddings and stuff and servants work in housesWhat's the difference between waitress, caterer, and servant?
No difference, They are all slaves.

  1. Wrong. The etymology of Cater is cataer Old French and means to service, provide, accommodate. Thus ,"Caters" provides austere accommotive service post the food order process. "Waitresses" take orders and may perform some subtle or precatering services. However; "Chefs" are "cooks" who prepare & or plate food.
