I called Alcohol %26amp; Bev Control here in CA and they said as long as it is at a private residence, I should be okay. But many others are saying the bartender must have a catering permit and I note many other bartender caterers advertise that they have permits (but are much more expensive...) Does anyone know if this requirement is true? Was the person at ABC incorrect? Would it make a difference if I have my party at a local hall???Does a bartender need a catering permit for in-home party and brings the alcohol and sells it to my guests?
Sounds like you need to try the hebredian rule for drinking in a church owned room where selling drinks isn't allowed. At a wedding I attended the MC announced that drinks could not be sold and Mr xxx could not afford to foot the bill so we were asked to make a donation toward the cost of hiring the room. He suggested we chip in 拢1.00 per can of beer and 拢1.50 per measure of scotch
