Looking for a NJ wedding venue that allows you to bring your own food?

I am on a tight budget and would like to make the food for my wedding. I love to cook and know it can save me thousands. I am having trouble finding a venue that doesn't make you use it's preferred caterers. Any ideas? Preferably in the central NJ area, around Princeton. Thanks!Looking for a NJ wedding venue that allows you to bring your own food?
Most venues will not allow you to bring in your own food for health code issues as the food is not prepared in an accredited kitchen with safe food handling certifications. Real catering businesses all have that training and the health department takes it very seriously, so do the venues.

Therefore, you will have to find someplace like a hall with a kitchen. You probably will have luck if you check out VFW Halls, The American Legion Halls, The Italian Club and places like that. Even Rod and Gun clubs have those type of facilities for you to rent out. Ask family and friends if they are members of any of these places so you can save quite a bit of money on the venue.

A thing about cooking for a crowd. It is stressful. Think about the number of people you have to cook for. Do you have pots and pans that big, room in the oven, room to keep everything properly refrigerated? Do you have the time to slave in the kitchen prior to your wedding day? Is there room in your freezer to store prepared in advance food? Cooking for dozens of people requires much shopping, prep work, cooking, cleaning, storing the food and serving it properly. Can you really do all of that on your own while preparing yourself for your own wedding day? Have you really thought this all through? If you have it all under control, then you are right, you will save lots of money.

Look into renting an indoor facility at a local park. That's what I am doing in NY.
Try looking on the Internet
