it wouldnt be a bad idea to tip ahead of the event. that will give them an idea of how imprtant a customer you are to please. be even more generous if possible than the standard 15% since its a smaller amount. then do the standard tip at the end of the real eventIs it proper to tip a caterer for a tasting?
tip whatever you feel is appropriate -there is no rule.
