My fiance and I are very short on cash for our August wedding. We have already booked a venue (the deposit is non-refundable) so we are looking for the best caterer we can for our money. Our budget is about $6-7000 and almost half of that went to the venue! Any ideas? Are there any decent caterers in the DMV that will cater to 100 guests for under $3500?
I don't think the Department of Motor Vehicles is the best place to look for a caterer.
Where exactly is DMV? I would imagine there are some caterers who could figure out something to work within that budget, but I would count on having a full course meal or dinner. You might be better off doing a brunch or light dinner, or just some appetizers / hors d'ouevres. Here is some pretty standard prices, as least from where I'm from, so you can get a better idea of what to expect: http://culinarycrafts.com/pricing/Are there any decent caterers in the DMV that will cater to 100 guests for under $3500?
For $3500 in your area, in all honesty, you cannot afford much. That would be $35 per guest, so on that budget, BBQ is your one and only feasible option. Look at local restaurant, they may offer catering.
Another idea is to do lunch instead of dinner or brunch,.
honestly.
